Waiting is our destiny as creatures who cannot by themselves bring about what the hope for.
We wait in darkness for a flame we cannot light,
We wait in a fear for a happy ending we cannot write.
We wait for a not yet that feel like a not ever.
Waiting is the hardest work of hope.

Waiting....is waiting for something that may happen in the future? Expecting?
No..Henri Nowen said that waiting itself does have something happen already. We can discover flowers bloom right at where we stand when we are waiting.

I think it was talking about the attitude of waiting.
I shared Nouwen's view when I 'was given' the hope as I shared the notion of 'creatures who cannot by themselves bring about what the hope for'.God gives us hope and then we can see things totally different.
但很多時候, 我們等候一些未知的事,
卻好像在等候一件永遠不會發生的事一樣的痛苦.
看你post的文章，感受到你那份看見自己身為受做物的有限，知道需要依靠創造者的觀念，so humble，so appreciate.亦很有提醒。
令我想起昨天上managment聽老師說了一個故事，他說有一個人用馬騮仔做了一個實驗，將兩隻馬騮仔鎖在電椅上，電椅每20sec過電一次，其中一隻所坐的電椅有一個button，每按一下電可以延後20sec到，即馬騮仔每差不多20sec按button，就唔會被電。
結果，幾日後，坐有button的那一隻馬騮仔死了，另一隻反而還在。
老師表示死了的那隻馬騮仔以為自己可以in control，結果太stressful 死了。知道自己不能in control反而ok。
也不能in control 的
